NEW POLICY FOR HOSTS

on Sun Mar 25, 2018 12:17 pm
Hello everyone
Att: River Park Hosts

I know most of you are experienced in hosting, but I need you to please look over and follow the check list due to our rules and policy changes.

Here is a handy host checklist that you should be following:

BEFORE YOUR SET:
✔️ You must check in 30 to 15 mins before your scheduled set in staff chat (River Park Country)
✔️ Prepare the notice with the correct information. The notice has to go out 15 mins  before the set  to 10 mins over the set time. Don't do earlier notice.
✔️ Work with the current DJ that means communicating with them and get their music style.

✔️ THE NOTICE CAN HAVE ANY STYLE BUT YOU MUST INCLUDE BASICS
- DJ NAME AND STYLE
- SET TIME
- SURL/ LOCATION
- HOST
- ANY ARTISTS THEY WILL PLAY
-  ANY CONTESTS

*******   THERE IS NO FISHING AT 9PM SO PLEASE REMOVE FROM THE NOTICES ********

DURING YOUR SET:
✔️ Greet Guests/ Your Coworkers
✔️  Inform guests of the contests/events
✔️ Talk to guests. Conversations: How was your day? Weather? Compliment them. Talk about the news or food.
✔️ Let them know they can join the contest. Example "Slap your name on that contest board".
✔️ Ask them if they need a group tag and offer one.
✔️ Tell them to Teleport their friends so they can party with you
✔️ Let them know when fishing/ game starts
✔️  Ask them to join the sploder. Example: "Pop that sploder, you might win but you won't know if you don't join"
✔️  Let guests know they can request a song by IMing the DJ (check to see if DJ takes request first)
✔️  Let them know they can donate to the club to keep the lights on.

REQUIRED:
1. Introduction notice only that can be done 15 mins prior  to the set until  10 mins over the scheduled shift. I want you to make sure you the DJ has checked in first or if there is a change in DJ. We don't want to flood the VIP with correction notices.
2. NO HALF TIME NOTICE AT THIS TIME.

IF THERE IS A PROBLEM:
1. Let your DJ know you are having issues : net, computer, sick , rl
2. Let a manager know you cannot make it -- there are several of us. A notecard is fine too or a notice in the staff group.

IF THE DJ DOES NOT SHOW UP
In the event that the scheduled DJ does not show at the introduction of the set

✔️ You will clock in as normal
✔️ You will wait 20-30 mins in case they have issues
✔️ If you still don't see a DJ, you are to log out of the time clock, get paid for the 30 mins

AND

✔️ MAKE A CANCEL NOTICE IN VIP GROUP

TIME CLOCK ISSUES
✔️ log your clock in and clock out times for your own personal information
✔️ If the time clock pays you incorrectly, notecard what happened and give to a manager
Example, wrong pay/ overpaid..etc

✔️ Wait 24 hours because that's when the logs get sent and can be checked by Owner.

DOUBLE SHIFTS NEED TO CLOCK OUT AND IN EACH TIME. DON'T STAY LOGGED IN FOR OVER 2 HOURS.

DON'T
1. More than 15 mins of silence at the set means your not paying attention and you can get written up. If you have to go on a break/ bathroom...etc   -  Just let the DJ know you will be right back in their IMs

2. Do not ask for direct tips. NO saying "Tip me".

Instead use  "The staff is working hard, how about showing them some linden loving"

You are here to host, not to camp at the time clock.

NOT GETTING GUESTS?
1. Use VIP Chat and get people to come down, Post the SURL so they can come to the club or offer TP
2.  Use correct spam groups or work your friend list. Read the rules of the groups before you spam.
3. Make a fan group and get people to join. How else will you get followers?
